Cassady Southern has released her first track for 2024, a country rock number called ‘On the road’. 

Cassady has embraced a passion for country music with this latest track which tells an age-old story of a wandering musician and the lure of the open road. 

Cassady Southern continues to prove that she is “Little Miss Versatile”. Her new song ‘On The Road’ is a body movin’, country rockin’, little gem; it will surely gain her an army of new fans from amongst country music enthusiasts. This song is a lively and lovely expression, of the urge that drives those restless souls who always want to see what is over the horizon.

‘On the road’ was recorded at Studios 301 in Sydney and follows on from the rockier ‘What’s going on?' which was released in December 2023. 

The track features the band Cassady Southern and the Party, made up of Rob Drummond on lead guitar, JD on drums, John Montgomery on bass and BVs, and Dai Nettle on keys, harmonica and BVs. It was recorded at Studios 301 by Jack Garzonio and Bras Hasiuk. It was mixed by Luke Payne at Parliament Studios and mastered by Darren Ziesing. 

 

 

About 

Cassady has previously released two EPs and am album of original songs in the genres of rock, pop, country and blues. She also studied Music Production at SAE in 2020 went on to release some EDM tracks. With her latest release she is back to her country rock roots.

Cassady was brought up in a musical household surrounded by music, instruments and musicians, some of whom have left an indelible mark on the Australian music scene. With her latest track ‘On the road’, Cassady is hoping to do the same.
